Tis the Season to be snowy!!

Howdy everyone! My plan was to post on here once a month..and well, I'm only 4 days late..so those of you who know me well are probably happy with that LOL.

January was quite a month..I'm certainly glad that it's over! Not only did our beloved Colts end their playoff hopes with the first game, but it seemed like we were snowed in half of the month! I started learning a new home selling system in early December and put it into action in January with great results! The system is called "Sold-in-a-week" and utilizes an 'Ebay' approach to selling real estate. As odd as this sounds..it actually works!! In fact, I just sold a house today that I have on the system..however, instead of one week..it took 2! Which, in this market, the sellers were OVERJOYED! If you're intersted in seeing how it works, feel free to watch a short video at my website: www.SevenDayHomeSale.com

Jeff started his new job on Jan.9 and has really thrown himself into learning different sales techniques. This is all new to him..he is so used to working 8 hours and getting paid for 8 hours...but that's the way it works for his new job. He is selling pre-planned and at-need funeral and cemetery packages for the 3rd largest Cemetery in the entire Country! I think he enjoys it..but he definitely needs weekly..and sometimes DAILY..peptalks! I belong to a really beneficial program called the "Kennedy Glazier Insiders Circle" which is a business mentoring program where a group of small business owners meet once a month and learn new and unique approaches to growing and organizing your business. I took jeff with me this month and I think he really got alot of it. To his credit, I have given him several books on sales and marketing and he has been reading AND taking notes! He is still training a few clients per day when he can squeeze them in..like he says, " it's hard to pass up $75 an hour to help people work out!" and I certainly wouldn't want him to do that either =)

Lexy is doing well also, her grades are still up and she enjoys school the best this year that she has so far. Apparently she's very social too...I had someone in the grocery store come up to tell me what a pleasant daughter we had! That's always nice to hear!! Unfortunately she's so popular at school that almost every weekend one of her little friends is having her over to play or sleepover..so I feel like I barely see her anymore...but I guess that's a part of growing up =(

At school this month they are working on a big project called "Biztown" in which each of the classmates get a 'job' in the town and they have to all work together as a community. She was very excited to tell me that she got the job of Realtor....and that the teacher was very impressed that she already knew so much about the job haha. So, it's been fun answering all of the questions that she's had for me. Everything from what kind of clothes a Realtor wears (I let her borrow my 'Realtor' pin to put on her shirt..she got a kick out of that) to "mom, how do you make money, if other real estate agents sell the houses?" So now she not only knows what a Realtor does..but what a Real Estate Broker does! She's already ahead of me when I got out of Graduate School and took a job as a loan officer, thinking that I would be wearing a uniform and guarding money all day! haha

We got 12 inches of snow last Tuesday...the kids were out of school, which takes ALOT out here for them to cancel school! Then we got more snow over the weekend..and another 4 inches yesterday..so if I would have seen that groundhog stick its head out..I would have clubbed it!!! lol

Well, I spent 12 hours in the office today and it's now 1:30am...time to shut down for the night and get some zzz's!! Hope everyone has a great February and Happy Valentines Day!

Love,
Andrea

Welcome to our Blog!

I have recently decided that since there are so many of our friends and family that live in other states and we don't get to catch up with them or stay in touch with them like we would that this would be a great way to let everyone know what we've been up to! I'll try to post on here as much as I can as well as put pictures online of things that we do together. Lexy seems to be growing so fast that unless I post pictures of her on here, many of you may not recognize her!
